FRC Upgraded its PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)

Sept. 25, 2010. If you view your patients images, you must upgrade the

software on your PC as well. This guide will assist you.

Important items to remember

• The client (referring physician) PC mustThe client (referring physician) PC must have ‘Administrative Rights’ in order to install the new iSite software If not theinstall the new iSite software. If not, the client needs to login with an administrative username and password perform theusername and password, perform the installation, and then log back in using their normal account ‘The client should contactnormal account. The client should contact their IT Department to get the login and password for the administrator account ’password for the administrator account.

• Nothing has changed for clients that onlyNothing has changed for clients that only ‘view’ and or ‘print’ reports. The upgrade only affects clients that view imagesonly affects clients that view images.

Login (Existing User & password), fill in the appropriate Patient Search Criteria, click View

To view the Patient’s images for this study, click‘View DICOM’.

For first time users and past user’s who have been viewing images with iSite 3.3, the following screen will appear (once the

iSite 3 6 client has been installed this screen will not appeariSite 3.6 client has been installed, this screen will not appear again).

Click on the Instruction button (which opens this document). Perform the steps in order depending on the version ofin order, depending on the version of Windows and Internet Explorer that you are usingare using.

• Once the browser settings are complete, click on ‘Download’ and the installationclick on Download and the installation process will begin.

A new window will appear. Click ‘Run’.

and the activity that is taking place on FRC’s servers.

Once the client software has finished downloading, and new window will appear. Again, click ‘Run’.

The client software will extract in preparation for installation on the client PC.

Once the installation package has been extracted, the installation wizard window will appear. Click

‘N t’ t t t th i t ll ti f th k‘Next’ to start the installation of the package.

The Custom Setup window will open. Leave all defaults, and click ‘Install’.

Please be patient as the software package installs. The length of time to install will depend on how fast

th t l PC ithe actual PC is.

Once the software installation has finished, click ‘Finish’. Your Patient’s images will open in that
