London St. Patrick’s Day Parade &
Festival
Now in its 14th year, this colouful event celebrates London’s Irish communities.
The parade will be on Sunday 15 March 2015, among other events
showcasing music, song, dance, film, comedy, food, and fashion. Volunteers are needed to help form the parade and “Wheelwalk”

“Lenten lunches” at a local church
Give up a couple of hours once a week on a Thursday between 12 and 2pm to help with preparing and serving simple lunch for local people during February and March.
All money raised goes to a local charity.

Richmond Gateway Club
We provide a weekly leisure and social club for people with a learning disability, aged over 18, who are resident in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. We are a registered charity and affiliated to Royal MENCAP Society.
The Members’ Committee decide the activity programme and
implement it with the help of the Joint Club Leaders and a small band of volunteers, all of whom are CRB checked.
We meet Tuesday evenings 7 – 9pm at Linden Hall, Linden Road, Hampton TW12 2JG

Encourage re-use and re-cycling
• Raise awareness amongst students about all of the unwanted clothes, shoes, and room furnishings that are left behind each semester
• Arrange for a new purpose for all of these unwanted goods by setting up end of semester collections to be donated to local charity shops to help them raise money.

Wandle Trust – river clean-up

Wednesday, 18th March - SWT Collection Day
Sunday, 22nd March - Richmond 10K and Half Marathon
Volunteer collectors needed between 7-11am and 3-7pm in Twickenham and Teddington.
Volunteers are needed to be cheerers (who can join at various points along the route, so you don’t need to come to the start), marshalls, and there are still a coup of (free) running spaces left.

There will be fun events in these local parks overlooking the Thames, to give the public the opportunity to view and enjoy the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race.

Animal carers and walkers for the Cinnamon Trust
To provide assistance to elderly owners who need help with the day-to-day care of their pets.
During the registration process volunteers can specify how far they are able to travel and how many hours per week they can offer. Once they are registered with the Trust, we'll aim to get them partnered up with a project that fits their criteria.
