Luke 1:26-27 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was

sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's

name was Mary.

Gospel in Geography

7

Luke 1:57-60 57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should

be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they

called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.

60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.

Gospel in Geography

Luke 2:1-4 1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a

decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of

Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and

lineage of David:)

Gospel in Geography

What about Mary’s lineage ??

9

Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the

young child with Mary his mother,

Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the

children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Gospel in GeographyMatthew 2:13-14

13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for

Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 14 When he arose, he took the young child and his

mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

11

Gospel in GeographyMatthew 2:19-23

19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which

sought the young child's life. 21 And he arose, and took the young child and his

mother, and came into the land of Israel. 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets,

He shall be called a Nazarene.

Distance from A to B is greater than from A to Nazareth. Thus it is somewhere

around 415 km.1.61 Km = 1 mile thus the distance should

be around 260 Miles

Queen Hatshepsut Temple

The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is located beneath the cliffs at Deir el Bahari on the west bank of the Nile near the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Designed by the architect Senemut, the mortuary temple is dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra and is located next to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II, which served both as an inspiration, and later, a quarry. It is considered one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt." [1]
