21 I would like to ask those who

want to put themselves under the

law again, “Do you fully realize

what you are getting into?”

1. You Can Decide

22 It is written in the Bible that Abraham had

two sons. One was by the servant woman and

the other one by the free woman. 23 The one

born to the servant woman was born in the

natural way but the one born to the free

woman was born by a miracle as the result of a

promise from God. 24 This gives us a picture of

the two covenants.

27 And it is written in the Bible, “Let the

barren woman who is unable to bear children

naturally rejoice. Let those women who have

not been in labour cry out with joy. There will

be more children for the woman who has not

been able to bear naturally than for the one

with a husband.”

28 Brothers and sisters, we are

like Isaac. We are like the

children born by a miracle as

the result of a promise.

2. Pick A Mountain

29 Another similarity here is that the

son born by natural means persecuted

the son born by the power of the

Spirit. This is what is happening to us

here and now.

3. Steel Yourself

30 Take notice of what the Scripture

says about this also: “Cast out the

servant woman and her son because

the servant woman’s son will not be

an heir along with the son of the free

woman.”

4. Evict It

31 Brothers and sisters, we are not

the children of the servant woman,

but children of the free woman.
