What is ELPAC?

•State and federal requirement for students whose primary language is other than English

•ELPAC is replacing the CELDT and is aligned to 2012 ELD Standards

What areas will ELPAC test?

Reading Writing

An English learner can comprehend spoken English (conversations, discussions, and oral presentations) in a social and academic settings.

Listening

An English learner can express information, ideas, and participate in grade-level conversations and group and class discussions.

Speaking

An English learner can read, analyze, and interpret a variety of grade-appropriate literary and informational texts.

Reading

An English learner can write literary and informational texts to present, describe, and explain ideas and information.
