THIAGO DE MORAES GONZAGA FOUNDATIONHistory
It was in May of 1977 that my son Thiago was born. But it was also in a cold
early morning in May, the 20th of 1995 that I held the body of my beloved son in my
arms, a week after he turned eighteen. Thiago went for a ride from which he would
never come back again.
My scream couldn’t just be stuck in my throat. I didn’t know how far I could
get: if I would reach my neighborhood, my city, or even my country. What I knew was
that I had to do something in order to avoid that other parents would pass through
the same as I did and that other youngsters have to day.
And today I’m here, in a Global Meeting, sharing with you our experience
with the program VIDA URGENTE (Urgent Life)
MAY, THE 20TH OF 1996PROGRAM VIDA URGENTE’S LAUNCH

This was our first success, that was supported by governors, artists,
