Global Medical Knowledge (GMK) seeks to improve medical education and health outcomes through technology
Medical researchers can conduct more relevant research and create the foundation for evidence-based medicine
Medical educators can teach more students more effectively
Medical students can participate in self-study and conduct more relevant research

Premise: Create an organization to replicate the model and use other means to build collaborative partnerships, increase knowledge sharing, etc.

• Malawi COM ready to take advantage of internet-based resources• Computer labs, laptops within
faculty• Rapid technology adaption• Current use of internal database to
upload research• Very prevalent use of PowerPoint
as teaching tool• Steady Internet connection
• In the future, GMK wishes to employ programs developed for Malawi COM at other sites, tailored to new site needs
