Hike Yahoo Falls Loop on Sunday, June 2, at 10 a.m. (ET). (Easy, but there is a set of steep stairs, 1.2 miles).

Night Hike on Slave Falls Trail on Saturday, June 8, at 9 p.m. (ET). (Easy to moderate, 2.2 miles).

Hike Yahoo Falls Loop on Sun-day, June 9, at 10 a.m. (ET). (Moderate, 1.2 mile).

Glow Worm Night Hike at Middle Creek Loop on Satur-day, June 15, at 9 p.m. (ET). (Moderate, 3.5 miles).

Astro-Photography Class at Bandy Creek VC Parking Area on Saturday, June 22, at 8 p.m. (ET).

Night Sky Program on Satur-day, June 22, at 9:30 p.m. (ET) at Bandy Creek VC Parking Area.

Bandy Creek Pool is Open 12-6 p.m. (ET) on Fridays, Sat-urdays, Sundays, and Holidays. The pool is also available for after-hours rentals, and the application can be download-ed at www.nps.gov/biso/planyourvisit/bandy-creek-swimming-pool.htm.

Recreation & Tourism Community Assistance Planning Session on Monday, June 10. We’re hosting an information session at 5 p.m. (ET) at the McCreary County Library, 6 Main Street, Whitley City, KY. The meeting is open to all.

Celebrate National Trails Day with a hike to Devil’s Jump Rapids on Saturday, June 1, at 7 p.m. (ET). Meet at Blue Heron Train

Depot at the end of KY Route 742 for a 2.2 mile easy hike.

The Next Obed Night Sky Program will be on Saturday, June 8, featuring Jupiter at opposition, a time when the planet is at its biggest and brightest appearance in the sky. In addition to viewing the Jovian planet and its four Galilean moons, we’ll enjoy the spectacular dark sky conditions to view the bright stars, star clusters, and galaxies in the Big Dipper asterism of Ursa Major. Telescopes will be available for sky observations. Viewing will be at Lilly Bluff Overlook

from 9-11 p.m. (ET).

Summer Friday “Lunch and Learn” Program Starts. We’re partnering with Morgan County Schools and Frozen Head State Park (FHSP) to offer a “Lunch and Learn” program series on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. (ET). Visitors under the age of 18 will receive a free snack, lunch, and drink after a one-hour program. June 14 -Lilly Bluff Overlook

Celebrate the Summer Solstice and Join Us for an Owl Prowl on Friday Evening, June 21, at 9 p.m. (ET) at Lilly Bluff Overlook parking lot, located off Ridge Road in Morgan County, TN. Participants will get a chance to learn about the habits and mannerisms of the Eastern Screech Owl and the Barred Owl. Be sure to bring flashlights and wear sturdy shoes.

Special Opportunity for Our Volunteers on Saturday, June 22. We have made arrangements for a ranger presentation for our volunteers at the Andrew Johnson National Historical Site and National Cemetery in Greenville, TN. We’re meeting at the
