Google Tag Manager is a simple tool to manage e-marketing tags in your website or e-shop.
/ About Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager (GTM) can manage not only tags from Google Analytics or AdWords. You can also implement remarketing tags from Facebook, click/mouse tracking nad others.
/ How to start?
• Just register on google.pl/tagmanager

• Create your account on GTM

Containter - include all tags; represented by one piece of HTML code on website.
Tags - tags are tracking script like Google Analytics tracking code oraz Google AdWords remarketing code.
Triggers - it's a rule to fire up a tag; for example you can set subpages where remarketing code for Google AdWords would be activated.
Events - you can know "event" from Google Analytics - it's quite the same; you can set event on download e-book, sign-in on newsletter, sending message...
Variables – it's something like macros in Microsoft Office ;) GTM has a lot of predefined variables - you can use it in your triggers and events.

/ How to set-up?
Configure your new account in GTM (1). Type your account (2) and container name (3). Choose where you will be use your account: website or mobile app (iOS, Android) (4).

After that you can see a Google Tag Manager code. Paste it onto every page of your websites - after the opening <body> tag.

Now click on new tag (1) - we will create tag of Google Analytics. Choose title (2) and kind of tag (3). Type your Tracking ID (you can find it in your Google Analytics account) (4). Now click on "all pages" (5.) and that's all. You have your first tag in GTM.

In your GTM account you can see your first tags (1). Remember - you must publish or preview your container after making changes (2).
