Graduate System in Brazil CAPES is responsible for promoting and evaluating the entire Graduate System of Education in Brazil.
CAPES is a public foundation within the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC).
It sponsors approximately 35,000 MSc and 10,000 PhD degrees each year.
It sponsors 60% of graduate scholarships offered by the Brazilian Government, representing 41,039 grantees in the country and 7,600 grantees abroad.
It evaluates and gives support to more 3,000 Graduate Programs all over the country in all areas of knowledge, enrolling each year about 50,000 new students.

Sciences Without BordersPROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL MOBILIZATION IN SCIENCE,
TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION.
Science without Borders Program will qualify human resources in the best universities and foreign research institutions, in order to foster innovation and competitiveness. The will promote a significant increase in the mobility of undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs, researchers and Brazilian senior professors.
Science without Borders Program will train 75,000 Brazilian grant-holders until the end of 2014, through the joint effort of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the Ministry of Education (MEC), its respective funding institutions CNPq and CAPES, and Secretaries of Higher and Technological Education at MEC. Science without Borders Program will promote the arrival of at least 1,200 young talents and 300 foreign scientific leaders, through repatriation of Brazilian scientists and researchers who have established themselves overseas.
