This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 1993 Lucasville Uprising

in Ohio, a riot sparked by overcrowded and neglectful state prison conditions. In the after-

math of the deadly event, several prisoners, includ-ing Greg Curry, were charged with murders they did not commit and sentenced to life without parole, or in some cases, put on death row. As a consequence of the fierce state repression, Greg Curry and other Lucasville rebels have become remarkable organizers. During the nationwide 2018 Black August Strike, Greg wrote about the work stoppage and commissary boycott at Ohio State Penitentiary, “Our collective Energy is what will tear down all resistance to FREEDOM!” The fight for Lucasville Amnesty builds as our support breaks through prison walls.
