or book, etc. • -No food or beverage• -No hats!• -NO EXCUSED LATE work accepted• -Excessive tardies will be dealt with.• -Unexcused absences will be dealt with.
COURSE OBJECTIVEA student in this class is to develop a thoughtful sense of historical events and how these events impact on current world happenings. The student will be able to demonstrate his or her learning in a multitude of ways, ensuring an accurate measure of knowledge and gained understanding.
** Some chapters will be dealt with more
comprehensively than others. Time, subject matter, and interest will play an important role in the study of particular topics.
Academic Expectations
• Homework approximately 2 to 4 times a week.
• Need to bring book, notebook, writing utensil to class everyday.

Grading Scale
Class Grading 100-98 A+ 97-94 A 93-90 A- 89-87 B+ 86-84 B etc. down to 63-60 D- Below 60 Failing (E)
Grading: Regular class attendance, completion of all work on time, participation in class discussions and mastery of the required material are essential for a student to receive a passing grade.
Grades and Scoring• Ten Week Final Grade• ~1/3 Daily Assignments 1st (3rd) Quarter 40%• ~1/3 tests 2nd (4th) Quarter 40%• ~1/3 projects• Straight points given, then totaled! (Keep track yourself!)
Final Exam each Semester= 20% Total= 100% grade
Extra Credit for United States History
• Extra Credit (at teacher’s discretion) will be given for every
unit covered in class.
• Extra Credit WILL benefit students at end of each marking
period.
