1 According to the Law on fulfillment of tax obligations with respect to accounts abroad, which was adopted by the Congress of the United
States of America in March 2010, in 2012, a regulation titled “Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act” (FATCA regulation) was adopted. The purpose of this regulation is to prevent tax evasion and ensure payment of taxes by the taxpayers from the United States who have the funds on accounts held in foreign banks and other financial institutions.
