Concept/Inspiration Board

Purpose: Designing a little mermaid inspired bed unit for girls between the ages of 7 to 11 along with a moveable desk. The desk contains drawers for storage and the bed has designed “treasure boxes” for the same purpose.

Materials/Technical Details

Materials Used

Plexiglas Panels: Used for the bed and parts of the desk

Wood:

Used for the bed shell, and desk storage area

Self-Glowing Paint

Used to paint the bed shell in order to help the child see her way out of the room at night when the lights are off.
