Accolades:She was the youngest British athlete in the 2008 Summer Paralympics aged just 13.In 2008, she won the BBC Young Sports Personal-ity of the year.She was appointed an MBE in 2009 aged just 14; she is the youngest person ever to receive this honour.
Training schedule:Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday morn-ing starting at 6am and every evening. Sunday is her only day off.
Before a competition: She wears her Great British knickers and listens to Britney Spears’ ‘Piece of Me’.
Swimming history:Ellie started swimming when she was just 5 years old. She was awarded a gold medal in the 2008 Paralympics for 100m freestyle and 400m freestyle.
