Camouflage games
Have fun with these outdoor gamesand test your camouflage skills.
Teddy bear huntEspecially great for young children this game is easy to play.
Collect together at least 10 cuddly or plastic toys and distribute them between the players. Define the area that you will be playing in then take 5 to 10 minutes to give each toy a hiding place. How about sitting in a tree, hiding in some long grass or tucked behind a tree stump?
Once all of the toys have been distributed, try and find as many of the ones hidden by your friends as you can.
Top tip: Always remember where you have hidden your
toys just in case no-one else manages to find them!
Camouflage Me
Lots of animals use camouflage in their colouring and markings to protect themselves from being eaten. In this game you have to see if you can camouflage yourself.
Give yourself a time limit to do your best job of camouflaging yourself using whatever you can find around you - dead leaves, earth, grass and twigs.
The adult starts the countdown and when the time is up shouts “Camouflage!” and judges who is the least camouflaged - this person has been ‘eaten’. Keep playing until there is only one winner
Who can find the most toys and which are
the easiest and hardest to spot?
