•It will provide for stability to those who have insurance.▫No more denial for coverage of pre-existing

conditions▫Insurance companies will not be allowed to

drop your coverage when you get sick.▫Puts a cap on out of pocket expenses.

You pay only a certain amount of money each year for medication, the government pays the rest.

•If you don’t have insurance, you will be able to get affordable and quality coverage.▫New tax credits for individuals and small

businesses, who could not afford coverage.▫Low- Cost Coverage for individuals and

small businesses▫Use it as a public health option, to keep

private insurance companies cost low.

•Would not affect the national debt in the long run.

•Would eliminate the prescription drug “Donut Hole”.

•Would eliminate extra charges for preventative care like mammograms, flu shots, and diabetes tests to improve overall health and save money.

Conclusion

•We determined that there is no major difference between males and females when it comes to understanding the healthcare bill and also how much they pay for health care.

Conclusion

•In research we did prior to our survey we found out that 62 percent of uninsured people who received free health care were illegal immigrants.▫In our tests we discovered that more than

half the population is aware that illegal immigrants receive free health care.

Conclusion

•We also determined that people who have children do not pay anymore for their health care.

•Our most surprising finding was that less then half the population understands the health care bill.

Things we could have done different?

•We could have informed people about the bill before we survey them and then asked them what they thought of the bill.

•Should have asked how much each person spent in the past month on health care as many people did not know specific numbers for the whole year.
