Maybe you think of

You might even think of someone who knows a lot

Let’s examine the Health

Triangle a bit deeper:

Do all three sides of the

triangle touch each

other?

Phys

ical

Social

Mental &

Emotional

YES !!!A change on one side of the triangle will affect the other two sides.

For example,

how would a bad

physical injury, like a broken leg,

affect all three sides

of the Health

Triangle?

Phys

Social

Mental &

Emotional

Or, how would

something negative Socially affect all

three sides of

the triangle ?

Phys

Social

Mental &

Emotional

Better yet, how would something

positive Mentally

and Emotionally

affect all three sides

of the Health

Triangle?

In other words, you have a

“Mind-Body Connection”

• Your emotions

affect your

physical health

and overall

health

• Your overall

health affects

your emotions

Consider this:

Your health

triangle changes from day to day.

Consider this:

One day, your

triangle may be

balanced and

strong

Consider this:

The next day, it

might be weak on one or more sides

Even though your health

changes from day to day, you should try daily

to have a strong,

balanced Health Triangle

We have a word for trying to be as

healthy as you can be …

We use the term “wellnes

s”

Wellness:

• A state of well-being or balanced health over a long period of time

• Balancing and improving your health over weeks or months

• Should be a part of your daily routine

Each day, try to do

something positive for each side of your Health

Triangle!

During this Health class,

we will explore ways to keep our

Health Triangles

strong and balanced!

We will examine things which may harm or

damage your health and well-being…

We will also examine things which may improve and protect your health and

well-being…

Try to apply what we

discuss in Health class to your daily lives.
