What are habits?
• Habits are routines or
behaviours that we do
repeatedly
• Habits are patterns that we
adopt in life
• Sometimes they are automatic,
e.g. cleaning your teeth
Daily routines

things you do on a
daily basis which
are ‘habits’.

Weekly Habits
• Outline all the habits
you do on a weekly
basis.
• Can you categorise
them under one of the
three categories?
Changing Habits
• Pick a habit that you want to
change, e.g. stopping at the shop
to buy chocolate or sweets after
school.
• Choose something to replace your
old habit with, e.g. still go to the
shop but buy a smoothie or some
fruit instead of something with
loads of added sugar in it.
• Practice your habit over again
until it sticks!
Building Successful Habits
• Use the ‘changing habits’ worksheet to write down some of the habits you want to change and what you can replace them with.
• Share your ideas with a partner/parent.
