A fortunate few New Yorkers, enjoyedthe four day’s and night’s of festivitiesthat celebrated the Wedding of EnderMermerci’s exquisitely beautiful middledaughter, Yosan, to the dashing FrenchBanker, Oliver Reza.

Istanbul,on the shores of the Bosporas,was resplendent as the traditional‘Henna Night’ began. The Bride’s handsare decorated with henna as a symbol offertility and to bless the marriage, manyfolk songs are performed to make thebride cry, as it is believed that her tearswill bring fertility to the marriage.

The Wedding Party was held in theirfamily home, a magnificent Villa,trans-formed into a white feathered fantasy.

The farewell dinner was hosted byCigdem Simavi at Zeyrekhan and HavesEkinci invited everyone to her home for awonderful cocktail reception.Many of the New Yorkers were thantreated to a seven days of cruising alongthe Turkish Coast.
