INTRODUCTION
Liver is a vital organ has a wide range offunctions in the body including carbohydrate,
protein and fat metabolism, detoxification, secretion of bile and storage of vitamins, synthesis of plasma protein and glycogenstorage .
The liver is also prone to many diseases mostlyincluded are infectious such as hepatitis A,B,C,E,alcohol damage, fatty liver, cirrhosis, cancer, drug damage especially acetaminophen, cancerdrugs .

Carbon tetrachloride CCl ! " induced hepatotoxicity modelis widely used model for the study of hepatoprotective
effects of drugs and plant extracts .
#atural remedies from medicinal plants are considered to be effective and safe alternative treatment for liverdiseases. Therefore, many fol$ remedies from plant originare tested for its potential antioxidant andhepatoprotective liver damage in experimental animalmodel.

%reparation of plant extractsThe leaves of Tinospo ! "o #i$o%i! and
M& !'! Ko*ni)ii &4" were collected
from local mar$et.
Leaves were shade dried and pulveri5ed to a
coarse powder and extracted with ethanol. The
filtrate obtained was evaporated to dryness at1'- 6C in a rotary vacuum evaporator to
obtain a dar$ colored molten mass.
