- Studied at the Kunstgewerbe school in Berlin from 1922 to 1925

Hermann Henselmann(1905–1995)

Trained as a carpenter at the Arts and Crafts School in Berlin .

In 1930 I started my first separate job

He was having trouble with the ruling Nazis because of Jewish ancestors .

Worked as a head architect in the city of Gotha (Stadtbaurat Gotha )

Professor and director at the State University of Construction Weimar . in the Soviet Zone of Germany

From 1949 to 1964

Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at the German Academy of Sciences, Berlin (GDR) .

Converted to the historical revivalism of the style ( Socialist Realism ) Or ( Stalinist Architecture )

Henselmann returned to his "modernist" architectural concept . After Stalin's death and the rehabilitation of Modernism .
