Hertz Learning Connection Logon Guide

Hertz Learning Connection Log On Instructions

Verify you are attempting to log into the Hertz Learning Connection site at this URL:https://hertz.csod.com.

There are two (2) fields of information you must enter. Employee ID is your Hertz Employee IDNumber. If this is your first time logging into the Hertz Learning Connection, your default password isyour password.

Once you enter your Hertz Employee ID Number and Password, click the Logon ( ) button tocontinue.

If you DO NOT enter BOTH the Employee ID and Password, you will see the message: All fields arerequired.

If you enter an INVALID Employee ID or Password, you will see the message: You have enteredinvalid authentication credentials.

NOTE: Please proceed to page three (3) of this document before exhausting your five log on attempts.Pages three (3) through five (5) will walk you through the steps should you have forgotten your password.

If you have exceeded the five log on attempts, your Hertz Learning Connection User Account WILLBE DISABLED and you will see the message: This account has been temporarily disabled due totoo many invalid login attempts. Please try again in 1 hour.

NOTE: If you have DISABLED your User Account you WILL have to wait ONE HOUR before you cantry to log in again. Your User Account CANNOT be manually reset BEFORE the ONE-HOUR waitingperiod has expired. If you CANNOT remember your password, request an email password reset usingthe Forgot Your Password? link or contact your Hertz-IT Service Desk for assistance.

Forgot Your Password?

You will see the Forgot Your Password? link on the Hertz Learning Connection logon screen; click thelink to get help with your password.

The Forgot Password? screen appears.

Enter your Hertz Employee ID Number in the User ID box then click the Submit link. Your EmailAddress on file will be used to send your password. If you click the Cancel link, you will return to theHertz Learning Connection logon screen.

NOTE: If you do not have an email address on your User Account, you CANNOT use this feature.Contact your Hertz-IT Service Desk for assistance.

The Hertz Learning Connection will display this message:

Click the OK link to return to the Hertz Learning Connection logon screen. Your Password has beenreset and an email sent to your email account on file.

If you enter a Hertz Employee ID that is not found on the Hertz Learning Connection site, you will seethe error message: You have entered an incorrect username, try again.

The Email Notification Processing Task runs continuously. You should receive an email within thirty(30) minutes with the Subject: Cornerstone Password.

Open your email client and find the email with the temporary password you were sent. Below areexamples of the email content you should receive. The sender should be ces.mail with a Subject line ofCornerstone Password.

NOTE: If you have DISABLED your User Account you will have to wait ONE HOUR before you can tryto log in again. DISABLED User Accounts CANNOT be manually activated.

NOTE: If you do not receive an email within 30 minutes, contact your Hertz-IT Service Desk forassistance.

Return to the Hertz Learning Connection login page and enter your Hertz Employee ID Number andthe temporary password provided.

Click the Log On button ( ).

After logging in again you will be required to change your password. See the Change Password sectionfor these instructions.

Change Password

If this is your first time logging into the Hertz Learning Connection site or you using an emailedpassword you received, you will be prompted to change your password. Passwords are ONLY VALIDfor ninety (90) calendar days. You will see the Change Password screen if your password has expired.

Please review the Password Criteria before entering a new password to avoid any errors.

You enter your current password in the Current Password field. Next, enter your New password and

Confirm the New password. Click the Save ( ) button to continue.

If you entered an INCORRECT Old Password, you will see the message: * Current password isincorrect. Correctly re-enter your data and try again.

If the New Password you entered matches a previously used password, you will see the message: *Passwords cannot be the same as the previous 3 passwords. Correctly re-enter your data and tryagain.

If the information you entered in the New password field DOES NOT MATCH the information entered inthe Confirm password field, you will see the message: * Confirm password does not match newpassword.

If your new password DOES NOT include BOTH Alpha and Numeric characters, you will see themessage: * Passwords must contain alpha and numeric characters.

If your new password is NOT at least six characters, or exceeds 20 characters, you will see the message:* Passwords must be 6 - 20 characters.

If you begin or end your new password with a space, you will see the message: * Passwords cannothave leading or trailing spaces.

If your new password matches your Employee ID Number, Username or email address, you will see themessage: * Passwords cannot be the same as the Username, User ID, or email address.

Login Guide This quick reference document is relevant for all users who will be logging into the Learning Connection for the FIRST time.

In the Employee ID field, type in your Global Oracle Employee ID number (which can be found on your

The system will then prompt you to change your password.

o doit être d'au moins 6 caractères minimum, et 20 caractères maximum o ne doit contenir que des caractères alpha et numérique o doit être d'au moins 6 caractères minimum, et 20 caractères maximum o ne peut pas être le même que les 3 derniers mots de passe o ne peut pas avoir d’espace avant ou après un mot. o ne peut pas être le même que le numéro d'employé ou de l'adresse e-mail

Lors de votre première connexion, vous devrez aussi répondre aux deux questions suivantes dans le cas où vous oubliez votre mot de passe dans le futur:

Quel est le nom de votre école élémentaire / primaire

Quel est le numéro de rue de la maison où vous avez grandi Si vous avez OUBLIE votre mot de passe, demander un nouveau mot de passe e-mail en utilisant le lien "Mot de passe" et en répondant aux deux questions ci-dessus, ou contactez votre Hertz IT Service Desk à l’adresse ITServiceDesk@hertz.com pour assistance.

Problèmes liés aux mots de passe

Guida al Login Questo documento di guida rapida è importante per tutti gli utenti che dovranno fare il log-in nel sistema aggiornato 2012 del Learning Connection per la prima volta.

Istruzioni per il Log-in

Nel campo ID Dipendente digitare il vostro numero ID Global Oracle Employee ID

Nel campo Password digitare la parola password (tutte le lettere in minuscolo)

Il sistema vi chiederà di cambiare la password.

Al primo accesso ti verrà richiesto di rispondere alle seguenti due domande nell'eventualita' di dover recuperare la tua password in futuro:

Indica il nome della tua scuola elementare

Indica l'indirizzo di casa dove si e' cresciuti Se non ricordi la tua password e' possibile richiederne una nuova utilizzando il link "Ha dimenticato la password", rispondendo alle due domande sopra indicate, oppure contattare il Hertz-IT Service Desk a ITServiceDesk@hertz.com per assistenza.

Problemi legati alla Password Se avete superato i cinque tentativi di login, o avete disabilitato il vostro account, verrà visualizzato il

messaggio: Questo account è stato temporaneamente disattivato a causa di troppi tentativi di accesso non validi. Riprova tra 1 ORA. Si dovrà attendere almeno un'ora prima di provare ad accedere nuovamente.

Si NO PUDIESE acordarse de la contraseña diríjase al enlace ¿Olvidó su contraseña? para actualizar la contraseña contestando las dos preguntas de seguridad o envíe un e-mail a la dirección ITServiceDesk@hertz.com para que actualice su contraseña..

Posibles problemas con la contraseña Si fracasase en los 5 intentos disponibles para el acceso a la aplicación o desactiva su cuenta aparecerá el siguiente mensaje: Esta cuenta ha sido desactivada temporalmente debido a que la contraseña introducida es incorrecta. Por favor inténtelo otra vez dentro de 1 hora. Tendrá que esperar UNA HORA antes de intentar acceder de nuevo al sistema.

WEB-BASED COURSES NOT LAUNCHING OR DATA IS NOT RECORDING

If you attempt to launch a web-based course in the Hertz Learning Connection site and you see this Alert Message and no training appears in a popup window, this indicates you have a Popup Blocker enabled in the Internet Explorer browser.

If you have completed a web-based course and scored at or above the minimum passing score on the course assessment, normally 80%, but your Learning Connection Transcript screen shows the Status of In Progress, this condition can be caused by a Popup Blocker being enabled in the browser. Make sure your Internet Explorer popup blocker is disabled. To disable the standard Internet Explorer Popup Blocker, click Tools -> Pop-up Blocker -> Turn Off Pop-up Blocker

Do you have an Internet Toolbar like Google or Yahoo installed in Internet Explorer?

Look around the Internet Explorer Address Bar for a Google ( ) or Yahoo ( or ) icon. This indicates the presence of the toolbars and their associated popup blockers.

You MUST UNINSTALL the Google or Yahoo toolbar. Simply ALLOWING POPUPS on the Hertz Learning Connection site WILL NOT RESOLVE course completion data recording issues. To uninstall the toolbar, open the Control Panel. This is done by clicking Start -> Control Panel or Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.

Scroll the page and locate the Google and/or Yahoo Toolbar and click on it. Click the Change/Remove

( ) button or Remove ( ) button.

Re-launch the course in the Learning Connection site. If all three boxes are checked, Started, Passed and Completed, you can exit the course and the Learning Connection site should update with your completion data.
