‘I chose to study in France at SKEMA so that I could learn French and English. Most Korean students choose to study in USA or England. By choosing France I hope to be more marketable because I will have different perspectives and will speak 3 languages.’

Despite high unemployment, international students still have more opportunities to stay and work in Europe than in many other countries:
• France – students have up to one year to find work in their chosen field then can stay 2 years
• Germany – 18-months to find a job, PR available after 2 years of work

Case Study - France
Internationalisation has been a hot topic in French politics in 2013. Recent improvements that have been instigated or are planned include:
• Improved post-study work opportunities• Student visas to be issued for the duration of a student’s university course• Increased investment in student housing• French lessons for non-French speakers• More university programs to be taught in English
