The  Organization  Committee  of  the  HKIBIM  Hong  Kong  BIM  Conference  2015  invites  you  to  submit  paper  to  be  featured  at  the  Conference.

The  HKIBIM  Hong  Kong  BIM  Conference  is  the  premier  annual  event  for  experienced  professionals  to   demonstrate   the   practical   use   of   Building   Information   Modelling   (BIM)   processes   using   real  cases.  The  speakers  are  encouraged  to  illustrate  lessons  learned  in  practical  projects  so  that  more  professionals  from  different  disciplines  can  improve  their  productivity  through  efficient  use  of  BIM  and   advance   practical   knowledge.     This   is   an   exciting   opportunity   to   share   your   knowledge   and  experience  with  the  larger  BIM  community.    This  year,  the  Conference  key  topic  of  interest  is:

“From  Building  Information  Modelling  to  Smart  City”    The   experiences   of   BIM  working   with   discipline   from   design,   construction,   engineering,   project  management,  manufacturing,   financing,   insurance,   risk  management   and   legal   to   showcase   the  achievement   in   a  manageable   system,   accuracy,   productivity   and   cost   effectiveness   is   expected  from  the  paper.

-‐ "Information"  is  data  that  can  be  used,  scheduled,  analysed  and  exported.  Examples  are  room  areas,   equipment   properties,   component   lists,   operational   requirements   such   as   equipment  movements  and  other  functional  needs.

-‐ "Modelling"  is  the  process  to  create,  store,  manage  and  visualise  the  Information  in  3D.

-‐ All  presentation  must  be  in  English  and  will  be  limited  to  20  -‐  30  minutes.  -‐ All   presentation   must   be   accompanied   with   visual   aid   (i.e.   PowerPoint,   Keynote,   Prezi,

animation  or  video)  done  by  computer  projection.  -‐ All  presentation  must  be  original,  unpublished,  and  not  submitted  concurrently  for  presentation

knowledge  and  experience  in  applying  Building  Information  Modelling.  -‐ The  topic  and  content  must  include  the  key  topic  “Smart  City”  plus  "Building",  "Information"  &

"Modelling"  (BIM).  They  should  be  demonstrated  in  a  practical  use  of  BIM.  -‐ Each   paper   prefer   to   cover   multi-‐disciplines   include   at   least   2   but   are   not   limiited   to   the

disciplines   of   architecture,   building   construction,   civil   engineering,   interior   design,   IT   and  programming,   manufacturing,   financing,   insurance,   risk   management   and   legal.       Integrated  multi-‐discipline  models  are  preferable.
