a Junior College District. The Governor in his wisdom has
changed a couple' qf parts of the bill there are two spec-#
ific changes, one is that he has changed the date back one
year so that it would be by July 1, 1974. that al1 of the
state would be included in a junior college district. The
second change was that he included a backdoor referendum
' for any territory included by hearing that did not want to
be. Now, this latter suggestion removed much objection to'
jthe original bill and for example the Illinois Agriculturalj''Asscciation which.bitterly fought the bill before now have

that in connection with the original junior college distric .
the bill, it was, the voters were told that they would not
have to have a junior college in their district, so a pro-
vision was made fcr the schocl' districts to provide for-tuition costs to out of district students coming from any
of oùr school districts &nd they have provided this through
taxation so I believe we've been operating accörding to the
' way it was laid out originally. Support junior college dis
tricts in these areas that have repeatedly indicated that
they did not wish to have them would be an imposition on
people that vote us into office.''
