How an Image is Created

• Light sensitive paper is placed at the back of the camera

• The pinhole allows a few rays of light through to reach the paper

Pinhole Photography

• Images are upside down and backward because rays of light cross over one

another through the pinhole

How a Camera Works

• The smaller the pinhole the more in focus the image, but the less light can get

through

Photo Paper

• Paper has a coating of silver gelatin which is sensitive to light

• Chemicals cause a reaction that turns the silver into an image
