2. Connect an Opt-in Form from your landing page to your Email

Marketing Automation tool (Drip)

3. Set up a Thank You/Download page that

contains Lead Magnet

4. Test if your Drip Email Campaign

is working

Let’s BEGIN!

First, open a browser by clicking it.

For this tutorial, let's choose Google

Chrome

Double-clickthis icon

A new window will pop-up

Click the URL

Type https://thrivethemes.com/ then hit Enter on your keyboard

You will be redirected to Thrive Theme’s site

Scroll down

until you see this

then click this button.

You’ll be redirected here. Scroll down

until you reach this part.

You can choose a Quarterly or Annually membership

For this tutorial, let's choose Quarterly.

then click Add To Cart.

You will be redirected to the checkout page

Type in your Email

Type in your First Name

Type in your Last Name

Type in your Password

Select your Country from the dropdown menu

Type in your Address

Type in your City

Select your State from the dropdown menu

Type in your Zip/Postcode

then click Checkout with PayPal

or pay with these other options.

Next step is to download & install the plugin.

Go back to https://thrivethemes.com/

Click MEMBER LOGIN

Type in your Username (Email)

Type in your Password

Click LOGIN

This is your Thrive Themes Membership Dashboard.

Scroll down to the plugins section

Look for this

Click Download

After downloading, upload the plugin to your WordPress site

Click Log In

From your WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins

Click Add New

Click Upload Plugin

Click Choose File

From your PC, select the Thrive plugin file you just downloaded

then click Open.

Click Install Now

The plugin has been installed!

Click Activate Plugin

Good job! The plugin has been activated!

To be able to use this plugin, you need to enter your license key.

Go back to your Thrive Themes Member Dashboard

Click My Account & License Keys

Copy your License Key

Go back to your WordPress Dashboard.

Go to Thrive Dashboard then click License Manager

Type in your Email address

Type in your License key

Click ACTIVATE LICENSE

Great! Your license is now activated!

Next, let's build the landing page.

From your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages

then click Add New.

Type in a title then click Publish.

After publishing your page, click Edit With Thrive Content Builder

This is the Thrive Content Builder

Click the dropdown and select Choose landing page …

This will open the landing page templates

You can choose from the Default Landing Pages

or download templates from the Thrive Template Cloud

You can filter the templates by tag

or if you know what you're looking for, type it in the Quick filter…

For this tutorial, let's select this template

Click Load Landing Page

This is the landing page template

It's already designed to attract visitors to opt-in

All you need to do is change the content

Edit the header as your lead magnet's title

These are your editing tools

Edit lead magnet copy - highlight the benefits

Change image - use your lead magnet's cover

Choose a cover photo from your PC

then click Insert into post.

Change the image size here

by dragging the slider or

or entering a pixel value.

Change the Margins & Paddings here

Change the image's alignment here

Edit the Call to Action button

Click Link Settings

Edit the Text of Call to Action button

You can set URL where the audience will be directed when they click

Your edited Call to Action button

You can edit the margins and paddings here

Click Save Changes

Yes! You have created your landing page.

We will now connect your landing page to

DripMarketing Automation

service

Click your Call to Action button

Click Event Manager

This is the Event Manager window

Click Edit this Lightbox

This is your Lightbox or Opt-in Form

Click the image to change it

Click Change Image

Choose an image from your PC

then click Insert into post.

Edit the margins and padding of the image

Edit the Lightbox copy

Change the Font Size here

Change the Line height here

Change the font color here

Click the Text color for more color options

You can type in the color code here

For this tutorial, let's choose this code to match the color of the image, then click OK

We have changed the font color to yellow!

Edit Margins & Paddings as desired

Click this section below

Click Edit Components

To edit Call to Action text, select Submit Button

then type to edit the Call to Action text here

Edit Margins & Paddings of the email catcher section as desired

Choose the position of the elements: Vertical or Horizontal

Great! We will now connect a Drip

email campaign!

Click Connect With Service

Click Create a new Connection

Click Go to the next step

Your Drip account should already be connected to your

WordPress account

If not, go ahead and visit my tutorial:

Choose Drip as your API

Choose Mailing List for the integration

Select your Drip campaign from the dropdown menu

Select Double optin

then click Save

Check the box under Required Field for Email

You can also display the Name field

Check the box under Required Field for Name if needed

Click Save

Click Save Changes

Here's the finished Lightbox.

Your Opt-in Form is now connected to your

Drip campaign.

Now, to impart relationship-building to your subscribers,

we need to

create a "Thank You" page where they will be redirected

after signing up

This is the Action After Signup section

Click the dropdown menu

Select Redirect to URL

We will create the "Thank You" page first

Go back to your WordPress Dashboard or

open your WordPressDashboard in a new tab

Go the Pages then click Add New

Type in a title

Click Publish

Click Edit with Thrive Content Builder

Click Thrive landing Pages dropdown

Select Choose landing page ...

Filter by Tag section

Check download

Choose a landing page

Click Load Landing Page

This is your "Thank You" page template

Click the image to change it to your own

Edit the "Thank You" page copy

Edit the Call to Action button

Click Link Settings

Edit the button's Text

Then upload your lead magnet to your Media Library

to connect your lead magnet to your "Thank You" page

From your WordPress Dashboard, go to Media then click Add New

Upload your lead magnet by dragging and dropping it here

Click Edit after uploading. A new tab will open.

Copy your lead magnet's File URL

Paste it to your "Thank You" page

Check New window to open the download in a new window when clicked

Check Nofollow so that search engines won't find this freebie

Edit the "Thank You" page as you desire

Click Save Changes

If you want to see the page you saved, click Preview

Your published "Thank You" page

Good job! Your "Thank You" page is now set up.

Now let's connect your "Thank You" page to your

Landing page

Go back to your WordPress Dashboard

Go to Pages

Then click All Pages

Click your "Thank You" page

Right click then copy your "Thank You" page's link

Go back to your Drip Lightbox's Action After Signup section

Paste your "Thank You" page URL here then click Save

This is how your Lightbox currently looks like

You can still make final adjustments as you desire

Now, let's test if your landing page is working.

Go back to your WordPress Dashboard

Go to Pages

Then click All Pages

Click your Landing Page

Click the link

Click the Call to Action button

The Lightbox appears!

To test it further, type in your Email

You should be taken to the "Thank You" page after opting in

You should also receive a confirmation email

Click the new email then click Confirm subscription

If your email campaign is correctly set up,

it will send the lead magnet/stopgap/freebie

Here is the first email for the campaign. Click it.

Here's how the email looks like

Your email must contain the link to your Thank

You/Download page

Click the link

You should be taken to your "Thank You" page

This is your lead magnet/stopgap/freebie
