How to help improve Internet speed at school
The problem is bandwidth
All internet traffic must go through here
Some websites on the internet take up more bandwidth
than others.
Here’s an illustration to help you understand what that means.
Think of most internet sites as the size of a toothpick.
You can have lots of websites open throughout the district.
The internet is fast at this point (no pun intended).
Everything is going well until people start opening websites that take up
lots of bandwidth.
Think of those websites as the size of pencils
It begins to get crowded in there, and that slows the speed WAY down.
Here are some things YOU can do to help!
Access Streaming Videos from the CPS website instead of directly from the Internet.
