Har-Tru court, a type of tennis court, is often referred

to as clay court by some people.

In reality, the Har-Tru court is made of crushed stone. So, it is

more durable and consistent as compared to clay court.

However, irrespective of materials, the court needs

proper maintenance to retain its quality.

You should practice the following activities on your Har-

Tru court.

You should brush the whole surface of the

court through a drag brush.

If there are abundance of pebbles,

leaves or other debris, you can use a drag mat.

Brush the court at the end of each match. Even if there

is no match, you should do it at dusk.

Brushing also removes moisture from the

court.

necessary.

It makes the court rigid as well as stable.

You can install a sprinkler system for automatic

watering the court.

Many water it in the middle of a day and anytime

during a night.

Carry out the spray gently in order to avoid

the possibility of erosion.

You should wet the surface uniformly and sufficiently so as

make it fit for the game until the next watering time.

and faster.

The activity also prevents the growth of weeds

algae or fungus on the surface.

The most effective time for rolling is

morning when it has moisture.

Rolling should be continued until the court attains

maximum compaction.
