How to make an NHS Jobs offer for employers
Following your interviews, you can send an offer to your preferred candidate. You can also
reject or make changes and resend the job offer if the candidate gives their decision by
phone or email.
Find the job name
Step 1: On your job listings page, select the Job name title link to start the offer.

Add your feedback
Step 2: On your confirmed interviews page, select the Add feedback link for all applicants
interviewed.

Confirm if the interview happened
Step 3: Answer if the interview happened by selecting a Yes or No tick box.
Step 4: Select the Save and continue button to confirm your answer.

Interview feedback
Step 5: Enter the interview feedback in the box. For example: ‘this applicant would be excellent for
the role, therefore we would like to offer them the role as they meet the essential and desirable
criteria’. Please note: you can add notes for internal use, but this could be requested as feedback by
the applicant.
Step 6: Select the Save and continue button to add your information.

Making a job offer
Please note: currently you can only offer the job to a single applicant using the new service. If you
need to make multiple offers then please use your current process outside of the NHS Jobs system.
Step 7: Once all feedback has been added, select the successful applicant tick box to make them
an offer.
Step 8: Select the Offer job to selected applicant button to confirm the applicant job offer.

Choose the pay type
Step 9: On the offer the pay page, select the Fixed pay or Pay range tick box to choose the pay
type. For example: Fixed pay could be £25,000 or pay range could be from £20,000 to £30,000.
Step 10: Select the Continue button to confirm the pay type.

Pay range
Step 11: If you’ve chosen pay range, enter the from and to pay range salary and select an option
from the drop down list.
Step 12: Select the Save and continue button to confirm the pay range. Go to step 15.

Fixed pay
Step 13: If you’ve chosen fixed pay, enter the salary and select an option from the drop down list.
Step 14: Select the Save and continue button to confirm the fixed pay.

Check the offer details
Step 15: On the offer details page, make sure the information is correct. If you need to make any
changes, select the Change link (Optional).
Step 16: Select the Continue button to confirm the details of the offer.

Email your job offer
The email job offer template is shown. This adds the applicant name and contact details from the
NHS Jobs system.
Step 17: Once the email is received by the applicant, the sign-in link allows the applicant to
complete their remaining information for the offer.
Step 18: Select the Send offer button to email the offer to the applicant.

Job offer sent
The job offer sent page is shown confirming the offer has been sent to the applicant.
Step 19: Select the Go to job adverts button to view your job adverts and their status.
You have reached the end of the steps of sending the job offer to the applicant.

Applicants response to the offer
Please note: you can do this on behalf of the applicant but you must have had an email or
telephone confirmation with the applicant to be able to complete this step (Optional).
Step 20: On the response to the conditional offer page, select the View details of conditional offer
link to view the applicant and job details (Optional).
Step 21: Select the Reject it or Make changes and resend it tick box.
Step 22: Select the Continue button to confirm your answer.

Offer rejected by the applicant
Step 23: If the applicant has chosen to reject the offer, enter their reason why in the box. For
example: ‘The applicant has chosen to reject this offer as they have been successful in accepting
another role with a different employer’.
Step 24: Select the Save and continue button to confirm your answer.
You have reached the end of the steps to an applicant rejecting a job offer.
