Download and extract the MtkDroidTools_v246.exe

Download the CWMR Recovery

Activate the Developers Option in Jelly Bean 4.2

Check the Developers Option > USB Debugging

Press this 5 times to activate the Developers Option

Check the Security > Unknown Sources

and then insert your USB Cable to your Phone

Download and Install the Android Driver for Windows http://www.4shared.com/zip/82FSagnQ/usb_driver_r07-windows.html

Installing the Driver Once Downloaded goto Device Manager

and you will see that the driver is not installed properly

then browse the driver on your computer the one you have downloaded awhile ago

choose the location of the and press ok

Choose show all devices

Choose Android _wiznusb.inf

choose Have disk

Choose Android ADB Interface

Update driver

if successfully installed you must see the Android ADB Interface on your device manager

Next is you need to open the SP Flash Tool and run as administrator

click the Scatter-loading then look for the file MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt that you have downloaded awhile ago and uncheck all the names except for the recovery

and click the recovery and look for the H120_130426__recovery_130528-005823.img that you have downloaded a while ago

next is to turn off your phone and remove the battery , then click the Download button and put back the battery and USB cable into the phone and wait for it to finish loading .

if successfully flashed you will see a green mark circle.

Now open the MTKdroidTools.exe run as administrator

then shutdown your phone the boot to recovery by pressing volume up + power button at the same time

then going back to the MTK Droid Tools

you will notice that the indicator is now color mint blue

and the SuperUser is activated click that button and you will see it will prompt you to choose either SuperSU or SuperUser

I recommend using the SuperSu for this unit because when I tested out the SuperUser it had some issues.

if successfully installed you will the status on the right side

now reboot your phone and download the root checker to check if your phone is already rooted

if in case it showed up that your phone is not yet rooted proceed with this next step if note ignore the remaining procedures

reboot your phone to normal mode

and open again the MTK Droid Tools

you will see that it has found that it installed the SU now press the ROOT button

then press yes and wait for it to finish it task

after that check again if it is now rooted

TROUBLESHOOTING

• try to download the titanium backup and it must prompt the root access permission if not try to open first the SuperSU app on your phone and then if it prompts you to reboot , try to reboot it.

• also be sure that after you reboot it will show ANDROID IS UPGRADING.
