HPT Workshop OutlineHPT Workshop Outline
This learning opportunity consists of two distinct, but interrelated sessions:– A one-day skills session to look at the key approaches
and skills used by successful high performance teams and team members.
– A three-day ‘hands-on’ simulation of life on an HPT to experience and practice the concepts and skills from the first day.
Related preparatory pre-work is provided to all participants in advance
Company and business specific tailoring of the Skills Day is coordinated by the Workshop Coaches after consultation, as required

Day 1 is an interactive and fun learning session focusing on what defines an HPT, how it is implemented, and what skills are needed in a team environment within a Project context.
The class will also examine the key approaches successful teams use to create, strengthen and sustain their teams.
Different learning methods are employed to keep all participants actively involved and enhance the learning experience.

What specific authorities do you think Integrated Project Teams need?
What do you think are the benefits or advantages in having decisions made at the lowest possible level?
What do you think the team leader’s role should be in team-decision-making?
If the Project System Integration Team does its integration job, how does this affect or relate to the lower level Project Team decision-making process?
Are there circumstances where you think a Project Team should consist of only one functional area? If yes, when and why?
