Let us welcome, into our parish community, all the children who have received the Sacrament of Baptism this weekend.
Marion Mae Cassidy Martel GOD BLESS YOU & CONGRATULATIONS!
Stewardship Reflection:
“If anyone wishes to come after me,
he must deny himself and take up
his cross daily and follow
me.” LUKE 9:23
We are not very good at
“denying ourselves” in our
society. Our current economic
situation is evidence of what
happens when people think they
can have everything they
want. Jesus calls us to set our
own
personal
“wants”
aside so
that we
have the
resources to follow Him instead.
On behalf of the office staff of St. James Parish, we wish all Fathers, Grandfathers and Spiritual Father’s a very Blessed and Happy
Father’s Day!
It’s so hard to say Good bye…!
Fr. Yarek will soon be moving to
Calgary, to take up his new posting
as Pastor at St. Joseph’s Parish.
And Fr. Dennis will be leaving us this
summer to head back home to India.
Fr. Yarek & Fr. Dennis, before you go, we would like
to express our gratitude for your joyful preaching of
the gospel and for your pastoral
service to the people of God, which
bring God’s hope to a troubled
world. You are wonderful examples
of God’s love at work - Thank you
for teaching, guiding, inspiring and
uplifting us, And most of all, thank
you for bringing us closer to Christ!
Thank you also for demonstrating a deep reverence
for Mass, a great knowledge of scripture, a love of
Christ and his Mother Mary, and a passion for Prayer!
May Christ, in whose place you stand as priest, give
you continuing grace to teach, guide and sanctify His
people. May God Bless you Always!
“Though we now go on separate
paths, we travel together to The
Lord.”
I will give you shepherds after my own
heart, who will feed you with knowledge
and understanding. Jeremiah 3:15

Prayer for Priests
Eternal God, please bless our priests, who
represent you on this earth. Make them more
greatly aware of the grace that you pour out
through them when they minister the
sacraments, and help them to fall more
deeply in love with you after each and every
Mass that they celebrate.
Please strengthen our priests,
who shepherd your flock, when
they are in doubt of their faith,
that they may be examples of
your Truth and guide us always
on the path to you. We ask
these things of you our Eternal
Priest. Amen.
