IBM BladeCenter has no single point of failure
When multiple components are consolidated into a single chassis, resiliency is critical. While other vendors merely talk about this concept, IBM has embraced it. BladeCenter was made to keep your IT up and running with comprehensive redundancy, including hot-swap components and no single point of failure.
– Dual power connections to each blade
– Dual I/O connections to each blade
– Dual paths through the midplane to I/O, power and KVM
– Automated failover from one blade to another
– Redundant N+N power bus
– Hot-swap, redundant power supplies
– True N+N thermal solutions (including hot-swap, redundant blower modules)
– Hot-swap, redundant I/O modules (switches and bridges)
– IBM First Failure Data Capture helps you make decisions based on accurate data for quick problem diagnosis. It simplifies problem identification by creating detailed event logs via the Advanced Management Module. This complete logging of events makes it easy to spot issues quickly and easily.
– Solid-state drives deliver superior uptime with three times the availability of mechanical drives with RAID-1 .
