Strategic Focus: Think of these areas as Chapters in your

Strategic Action Plan

Strategic Outcome

For each Strategic Outcome define one Strategic Initiative

(project) to achieve your outcome

For each Strategic initiative, outline a set of SMART Goals

that will define progress

For each initiative, define a clear action plan to define who will do what by when.

Decide on a process of coming back together in 30 to

Define Strategic Outcomes for your Areas of Strategic

Focus

Strategic Outcomes describe a desired state in the future. Descriptions of the desired state should include the idea of stretch, measurable goals. What will our region look like, feel like in 3 years? What will people be doing? How will people be connecting? How will our region help transform Idaho?

Deb Howe proposed a strategic outcome of redesigning high schools in our region of Indiana. Mark French proposed the outcome of having guitar camps available to every high school in the region.

Strategic Focus Strategic Focus simply helps you organize your Strategic Action Plan. Your plan should have between three to five areas of Strategic Focus. Each area of Strategic Focus can (and probably should) have multiple outcomes.
