TRiO Student Support Services (SSS)

helps students successfully complete 2-

year degrees and prepare for transfer to

4-year colleges or universities. Our staff

are your academic advisors, or

“coaches,” for success in graduating and

transferring.

TRIO Student Support Services is 100% funded

by the United States Department of Education

and is hosted by Feather River College. Funding

for grant year 2019-2020 is $284,758.

Mission Statement

Retaining, graduating, transferring our students to four-year colleges and universities.

TRiO SSS is a federally funded student

support program, designed to help

1st generation, low-income, and disabled

students who plan to graduate with an

associates degree and transfer to a 4 year

college. As a transfer program, TRiO

provides students with a variety of

services designed to create a successful,

academically focused experience.

Eligibility Requirements

A higher education support program for U.S. citizens that meet one of these criteria:

1st generation college student (neither

parent completed a 4-year degree)

Economically disadvantaged

Disabled

TRiO SSS awards annual scholarships to

participants who qualify. For more
