Hydraulics can be used wherever
force and movement need to be
controlled. Bucher Hydraulics
creates systems that reveal the
immense flexibility of modern
hydraulics when combined with
easy-to-use electronic controls.
We regularly demonstrate the
ability of hydraulic solutions to
be adapted to the most varied
requirements, even when theymust operate under extremely
unfavorable conditions.
Bucher Hydraulics offers
tailor-made components and
systems.
When improvements occur in
electronics, microprocessor
technology and sensor
techniques, we promptly
incorporate these into the
design of new products.
By optimizing the layout of the
overall design, we can offer
compact and economic hydraulic
systems that simultaneously
raise the performance level of
the application.
Innovative solutions in hydraulic driveand control engineering
By using modern bus technology,
we are always able to position
the control elements at the
precise point where hydraulic
power needs to be converted
into force.
All R&D activities
at Bucher are
centered on customer
requirements.
With the help of an advanced
CAD system (ProE) and modern
development tools, we can
shorten the development
process considerably, optimize
development procedures
and thus arrive at mature,
production-ready solutions
more rapid ly.
This intensive focus on research
and development is the basis
for our high level of technicalexpertise.
We maintain our leading position
in the development of innovative
hydraulic applications by
ensuring that adequate levels
of human resources are always
deployed.
To explore every development
opportunity and to underscorethe unique nature of our hydraulic
systems, we actively engage in
research into the reduction of
noise levels in pumps, the
optimization of efficiencies and
energy recovery in hydraulic
systems.

do from ourselves.
Within Bucher, high quality
standards are applied from the
development phase right through
an efficient and flexible
high-volume manufacturing
system that complies with
ISO 9001 2000.
Equipped with modern, very
efficient production resources,
we can regulate manufacturing
processes and sequences to the
best effect and can always adapt
to our customers requirements.
Quality and precise delivery
schedules come as standard at

Our history
Klettgau
In 1923, the Swiss industrial
pioneer Johann Bucher founded
the Johann Bucher Griessen
engineering company in Klettgau.
The business first acquired
experience with fluid power as
early as 1933, when it began
building hydraulic fruit presses.
Production of oil hydraulic
pumps started in 1952, followed
by control valves for tractors and
agricultural machinery.
Today, Klettgau manufactures
internal gear pumps, proportional
valves, flow control valves,
hydraulic manifolds and
electronic systems for mobile
applications.
Reggio Emilia
Nando Olivi established thebusiness in 1958 under the
name of Hidroirma. It has been
a part of the Bucher group
since 1994.
The plant currently manufactures
directional valves, gear pumps
and motors, and power packs.
Neuheim
Robert Beringer founded the
business in 1959. It expanded
into the manufacture of hydraulic
valves in 1975 in Remscheid
under the name Barmag
Hydraulics. Bucher Hydraulics
acquired the company in 1996.
Proportional valves, safety
valves, hydraulic systems for
elevators and drive systems for
high-voltage circuit breakers
are manufactured here today.
Frutigen
Hydrotechnik Frutigen AG was
founded in 1970 by the partner-
ship of Heinz Pieren, Fritz Schlup
and Eduard Zurbrgg.
It has been a part of the Bucher
group since 1997.
Standard valves, cartridge valves
and hydraulic manifolds are
manufactured here today.
