Improved Photoshop Skills

Photoshop

• When I had finished my music magazine, I had seen a significant amount of improvements made in Photoshop. I had become more familiar with various tools and was able to edit images.

Front Cover• My front cover changed through the process of my production. This is because

when I felt I had completed it, I carried out a survey and asked my target audience for their opinion and any improvement that could be made. This is my magazine once I had made them changes.

This was main image on my front cover before I edited to my target audiences preference.

To edit the contrast to my image to get a black and white effect. I discovered that by going ‘adjustments’ there were different effects that I could add to my image.

By clicking on ‘Hue/Saturation’ I was able to produce a black and white effect/

I then experimented with the saturation and was able to create a black and white effect.

To get a deeper understanding of Photoshop, I used the ‘Brightness/Contrast’ effect on all my images used in my music magazine. This allowed the magazine to look more professional.

This is the end result created by using these tools. I changed the contrast and saturation because my target audience recommended that a black and white theme would be more appropriate. I like the black and white effect because it adds a regal and indie vibe which is what I was trying to create.

Tools• When using Photoshop I used the same tools

for various factors. For Example-

Polygonal Lasso Tool- This tool allowed me to create a snapshot images which were made to look like polaroid's.
