Ephesians 3:14-16

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

Ephesians 3:17-19

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:20-21

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Paul has powerful words to remind you that you are LOVED and NEVER alone.

“may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (v18, NIV)

“may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,” (v18, ESV)

Paul’s prayer is not that they be loved, but are able to GRASP how intensely they are already loved.

In Christ you are loved and can know that God LISTENS.

God may not need us, but He does WANT us.

“The measure of God’s love is not your circumstances, but the cross” (Dan Mohler)

God not only hears you, but God is FOR you.

You cannot EXHAUST the resources of God.

God will supply all you NEED against any adversity.

You have a SPIRITUAL family.

Whether or not you FEEL loved doesn’t change the reality of God’s love for you.

Paul’s prayer is not for the initial indwelling of Christ, but His CONTINUAL presence.

However deep you may SINK, His sacrifice on the cross is all you need.

We are not simply to know God’s love, but to allow it to overflow that others may see GOD in us.
