In Perfect HarmonyDigital Governance & Collaboration
@lwelchman
I like to sing and collaborate around music.
I want to talk about governing controls within the context of musical collaboration and why it’s an interesting challenge.
Then, I want to talk about collaboration models in the context of digital governance.
Consider music and the people that make it.

What happens when you blend collaboration styles?
Is this exciting or frightening?
It’s both.
Scary because it is unfamiliar.
Exciting because that is the dance, the love, the music of collaboration.
Paradigms shift. Norms change. And, people get uptight.
People who bridge these types of interactions are wayfinders…

All these standards and yet there is so much richness in us.
When it comes to making things, the duality between governance and creativity or governance and innovation is false.
It’s a symbiotic and necessary relationship.

You must foster collaboration from a meaningful place—not from the desire to win or be right.
Honor your role.
Why do I care so much?
Because it’s our time.
We are making the form, the standard.
We are prime movers in the digital system.
Make it good. Make it right.
