Report for the month of August.
Tilak Punyatithi:-
Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi was
celebrated on 1st August. The teachers
gave informative talk about the great
freedom fighter and his famous
message of swaraj was instilled in
their minds.
“Swaraj is my birth right and I shall
have it”.
Nag Panchami:-
Teachers briefed the students about
the importance of Nag Panchmi. A
project was displayed, and related
activities were conducted from
Grade I – VI (making snakes out of
clay, paper twisting puppet, and
cutouts of snakes were prepared by
the students.)
Raksha Bandhan Celebration:-
Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate the chaste bond of
love between a brother and a sister. A Rakhi making activity was conducted for
Students of Grade I – VI.
The importance of Narali Purnima was highlighted during this activity. A project
of the same was displayed. “Naralwadi” a delicacy made of coconut was
distributed.
Independence Day:-
Independence day was celebrated on
14th of August. The Head boy
Master. Hriday Desai gave speech in
English about our National festival and
our Head Girl Miss. Akshra Mathure
spoke in Hindi and briefed us about this
day. On this day the entire atmosphere
gets filled with patriotic feelings, much
enthusiasm and pleasure. She in her
speech said the importance of the day
is to remember those freedom fighters
because of whom today our life has
become so beautiful.
Students of Grade IV and V sang the
flag song and patriotic songs under the
guidance of our music sir.
Gopal Kala:-
“Govinda aala re aala, san Gopal
kala aala” went ringing in the air.
On 14th of August Primary and Pre-
primary children assembled in “D’
block to witness the live
demonstration of the human pyramid
to break the earthern pot.
Children of pre-primary came in
traditional dress and enjoyed mock
“Dahi handi”. It was an exciting
moment at Orion as KG and Primary
students celebrated it together. Dahi
handi celebration was enjoyed by all,
the children. They sang bhajans,
danced and enacted like
Krishnakanaya.
Ganpati making Activity:-
“Imagination is more important than
knowledge”
Students of Grade I to IV prepared
beautiful clay models of Ganpathi and
the same were displayed within and
outside the classrooms.
Students of Grade V and VI prepared
Ganpati out of waste materials using
paper plates, leaves, CD discs, news
papers, and disposable glass.
“Art therapy brings
peace of Mind”.
Art has the power to
transform, to illuminate,
educate, inspire and
motivate.
An Intra school card
making competition
was arranged for all the
grades on the occasion
of Mother’s Day.
Children prepared,
expressed and
exhibited their love for
their mother through
greeting cards.

The Mantra for Success, Victory,
Prosperity, Knowledge and
Illuminations.
Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated on 26th and 27th of August with great pomp and reverence. An idol of Ganesha was installed and the theme given to the project was “National Symbols”. Students’ creativity was also displayed in the project and they were given ladoos as Prasad.
