ALUMINUM SHEET & PLATEAluminum Sheet & Plate The non-heat treatable alloys attain maximum strength beyond the annealed condition through cold work hardening. In the H tempers of sheet and plate, this is initially the result of cold rolling to final thickness, or may be the result of subsequent cold forming. They possess high corrosion resistance, good formability, pleasing appearance andgood weldability. They are widely used for manufactured products and general sheet and plate applications.

ALUMINUM SHEET & PLATEAluminum Sheet & Plate Guide to Heat Treatable AlloysThe heat treatable alloys attain maximum strength through controlled heat treatment either before or after forming operations. They are the highest strength alloys and are hard, with good appearance, and generally good resistanceto corrosion and abrasion. They are particularly suited for structural applications and other uses requiring bothformability and strength.
ALLOY 2024 is known widely as an “aircraft” alloy. This grade can offer strength similar to or exceeding those of mild steel in the heat treated condition. This alloy does not have good corrosion resistance
TYPICAL END USES: Aircraft skins, cowls and structurals, aircraft structural application, side panels, molds for plasticsindustry.

Aluminum Sheet & Plate Guide to Cast Tooling Plate
MIC-6 cast aluminum plate holds close tolerances in all dimensions and is thermally stabilized. MIC-6 is excellent for design components requiring metal removal without distortion. This molten metal is continuously fed, eliminating defects.
Aluminum Sheet & Plate Guide to Aluminum Mold Plate
M-1 was developed especially for the Molding Industry. It is used for mold applications where 1 to 12 cavities are required. This cost-effective aluminum plate lowers production costs by eliminating the need for reworking material as in tool steel or wrought aluminum alloys.

They can be hardened to tensile strengths exceeding 200,000 psi by heat treatment. They resist corrosion in mild environments and they are always strongly magnetic.
Aluminum Sheet & Plate Guide to Ferritic Grade - Magnetic and Non Heat TreatableFerritic Steels are straight-chromium types also identified by AISI 400 series numbers. They have low carbonto-chromium ratio and are not hardenable by heat treatment. However, they are strongly magnetic and have good resistance to corrosion and oxidation.
Aluminum Sheet & Plate Guide to Precipitation Grade - Magnetic and Heat TreatablePrecipitation Hardening grades are martensitic stainless steel and can be precipitation hardened by a low temperature heat treatment, thereby minimizing scaling and distortion, while allowing parts to be machined to close tolerances prior to heat treatment.

carbon steel SHEETCold Roll Commercial QualityMaximum carbon content .10. Soft enough to bend flat on itself in any direction without cracking. Ductile enough for moderate drawing applications. Light oil protects surface from rust.
Hot Roll Commercial QualityMaximum carbon content .10. A low cost steel sheet, soft enough to bend on itself in any direction without cracking. Shallowdrawing and forming O.K., weldable. Surface has normal mill oxide. To be used where surface finish is not crucial.
Hot Roll Pickled and OiledAcid pickling removes mill oxide, improving surface appearance and finishing quality. Paint and enamel will adhere after cleaning. Same properties and forming characteristics as commercialquality.
GalvanizedZinc coating applied by either hot dipped or electrolytic deposition. With this coating, sheets can be formed without flaking.
Expanded MetalExpanded Metal may be used for many industrial purposes such as open partitions, window guards, machine guards, and other manufacturing and maintenance uses. It is more rigid than an equal weight of solid plate or wire mesh. In fabricating it may be cut to any desiredshape without loss of its original strength.

carbon steel plateA-36 Carbon Steel PlateExcellent forming and welding ability, also can be hardened within carbon limitations.Typical applications - machinery components, plastic and rubber molds, cams, bushings, fixtures, gears .
4140 Rolled AlloySteel PlateHeat treatable to a 250/300 Brinell hardness with good machinability andtoughness. Typical applications - fixtures, machine parts, adapters, molds, dies, tools.
4140 PreHard Alloy Steel PlateMill heat treated to a 3 Brinell hardness 262/231, this usually eliminates the need for heat treating by the customer. The machining quality and toughness remains excellent. Typical applications - same as 4140 as rolled but more difficult tomachine due the prehard material state.
There are several additional material grades available upon request, such as: 4340, Pressure Vessel, Abrasive Resistance. Each of the grades has there own characteristics and application due to the wide range of elements.

copper, Brass, bronze & berylliumCopper Sheet & PlateAlloy 110 - Cold Rolled ETP - Commercially pure per ASTM B 152 -Electrolytic Tough Pitch Copper (ETP) - 110 alloy is the most widely used of the coppers because of its combination of electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and workability as well as its aesthetic beauty.
Yellow Brass Sheet & PlateAlloy 260 Cold Rolled 70/30 Composition per ASTM B 36 Alloy 6 (Cartridge Brass), with a nominal composition of 70% copper and 30% zinc is the most widely used copper alloy because of its combination of outstanding characteristics. The name originated from its use as the standard alloy for artillery shell and small-arms cartridge cases. Today, the alloy is widely used for clips, contacts, brackets in electrical wiring devices, especially for residential and commercial construction, and is often times fabricated with hot dip tin coatings.

Stainless Bar Guide to FERRITICFerritic Steels are straight-chromium types identified by 400 series numbers. The low carbon-to-chromium ratioeliminates effects of thermal transformation. They can be hardened slightly by cold-working, however the ferritic stainless steels are strongly attracted to a magnet, have good ductility, and have good resistance to corrosion and oxidation.

tube and pipeALUMINUM ALLOYS
2024 High strength alloy with excellent fatigueresistance and machinability. Known widely as an “aircraft” alloy for strength but not noted for corrosion resistance.
6061 Is the most popular and versatile aluminum alloy. This heat treatable grade is weldable and has good strength and corrosion resistance. Extruded can be supplied in either the structural or seamless condition. Usually light wall sections are in the drawn condition.
6063 Is the “architectural grade” with slightly less strength than 6061, but is better suited for anodizing. Most popular in square and rectangular sections.
7075 One of the highest strength grades used mainly in aircraft applications.
STAINLESS ALLOYS
304 Is carried in both seamless and welded conditions, it is non-magnetic, has good corrosion and heat resistance. Available in round, squares and rectangular forms.
304L Is the extra low carbon (.03 max) variety of 304 intended for welding applications.
316 With the addition of molybdenum the corrosion resistance of the grade is greatly increased.
316L Is the extra low carbon (.03 max) variety of 316, intended for welding application.
321 and 347Are grades that have increased resistance to intergranular corrosion with the additions of titanium andcolumbium.
