PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Industry Program in Forensic

Sciences is designed to train aspiring and mid-career professionals in a variety of forensic disciplines applied to crime scene investigation and evidence analysis.

Professionals trained in these disciplines are crucial to today’s comprehensive forensic investigations. Completing this certification will qualify to work as Forensic scientists, DNA analysts, chemists, death investigators and crime scene responders at the local, state and federal levels.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To develop an awareness of various form of physical evidence & how each type is located & identified on a trauma victim & at a crime scene.To study the effectiveness of physical evidence collection, preservation & examination.To examine critically, the various scientific laboratory tests used to determine the individual characteristics.To consider how each type of physical evidence can be presented in court in accord with its probative value.
