start here » Inman Admissions Welcome Center (77)
The Inman Admissions Welcome Center is Elon’s home for prospective students and families. The center includes offices for undergraduate and graduate admissions, and financial planning. Exit through the front entrance of Inman and walk across the quad toward Belk Library. Turn right and continue through the covered walkway to Belk Library’s main entrance.
Belk Library (10) Belk Library is an information resource center including Media Services, the Writing Center and the Tutoring Center. The library also includes 25 group study rooms and two computer labs . Turn right as you exit through the main entrance and then take your first left. Follow the sidewalk toward Young Commons and enter Moseley Center through the main entrance.
Moseley Center (30) Moseley Center is a hub of campus life. The building houses the Student Professional Development Center, stu-dent organizations, administrative and student life offices. Exit through the front entrance of Moseley to face Young Commons. Turn right and then stay right at the pedestrian round-about. Enter Lakeside Dining Hall through the main entrace.
Lakeside Dining Hall (31) This two-story eatery is the university’s newest dining facility and has three central culinary stations, including one with a weekly international theme. Exit through the door you entered, turn right and follow the sidewalk to keep Lake Mary Nell to your right. Enter the Center for the Arts through the double glass doors on the patio.
Center for the Arts (11) This building houses the Music and Performing Arts depart-ments. Facilities include the Black Box Theatre, McCrary Theatre, a scenery shop and Yeager Recital Hall. There are various music rehearsal rooms and dance studios. Expanded facilities for art majors are housed in Arts West. See map. Exit the building through the same door you entered and make a right. Stay straight and continue through the covered walkway; make your first right to enter the Koury Center.
Koury Center (61) As you enter, you will see the office for Campus Recreation on your left. Let the staff know you would like to look around; they can direct you to the fitness facili-ties. Exit the building at the entrance near
Campus Recreation, and make a right. Follow the sidewalk to Haggard Avenue and cross the road at the crosswalk. Stay straight on the sidewalk as you enter Elon’s historic campus. Fonville Fountain will be on your left. Make a right at the colonnades and stay straight on the sidewalk as you enter “Under the Oaks,” the site of Elon’s commencement. Continue on the path and enter McEwen Communications Building.
McEwen Communications Building (8) McEwen houses the School of Communications, which offers degrees in communications and journalism and is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications. After you enter the main doors, continue through the next double doors, and push the button on the wall located next to the flat-screen TV to view a video explaining the school. Exit the way you entered and walk back toward the historic campus. When you reach the colonnades, follow the sidewalk to the right and enter Long Building.
Long Building (5) Long is located on Elon’s historic central campus and includes class-room and academic department offices.
Exit the way you entered and follow the side-walk straight to enter Alamance Building.
Historic Campus: Alamance and Carlton buildings (3,7) Alamance was built as the center of the “new” campus after the fire of 1923. The Registrar and Bursar are located in this building. Carlton includes space for the study of world languages and culture, and international studies, and includes El Centro de Español, Elon’s Spanish immersion center. Exit Alamance Building through the entrance near Fonville Fountain. Turn right and you will see Powell, Duke and Mooney buildings on your right.
Historic Campus: Powell, Duke and Mooney buildings (1,2,4) Mooney houses the School of Education, which is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, and includes the Teaching Fellows Program, the Master of Education program and The Center for Access and Success. Duke houses the departments of Computing Sciences and Mathematics, as well as the Office of Academic Support. Powell is home to the President’s Office and the Master of Arts in Interactive Media program. If you are facing Duke building, turn right and then make a left at the colonnades. Stay straight on the path to enter Elon’s Academic Village.
Academic Village (12–18) The Academic Village is the home of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences. The centerpiece of the Academic Village, Lindner Hall, has achieved LEED Gold certification for sustainability. The Numen Lumen Pavilion, Elon’s multi-faith center, is also located in the Academic Village.
Leave the Academic Village as you walk through Phi Beta Kappa Plaza. Cross Haggard Avenue at the crosswalk and enter McMichael Science Center.
McMichael Science Center (9) McMichael Science Center houses the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and Biochemistry. Students have access to exceptional facilities and technology, including Hampl Engineering Workshop. Exit through the main entrance and turn right to follow the sidewalk toward Colonnades Dining Hall. Turn right at the Chandler Fountain and continue through the covered walkway to the dining hall’s main entrance.
Colonnades Dining Hall (41) This popular facility has 350 seats and provides seven dining options, including an organic market. Exit through the main entrance of the dining hall and turn right. You’ll soon find yourself in the Colonnades Neighborhood.
Colonnades Neighborhood (54) This neigh-borhood houses students in all four class years. It’s home to multiple living-learning communi-ties, and is heated and cooled by a geothermal system in the ground beneath the neighbor-hood commons. Follow the sidewalk back the way you came, and turn right before the dining hall to enter the Koury Business Center.
Koury Business Center (22) This is the home of Elon’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The school offers degrees in accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, international economics, management and marketing as well as a Master of Business Administration degree, a Master of Science in Management degree and business dual degree programs in Germany and France. Exit through the main entrance, and cross the street at the crosswalk to return to the Inman Admissions Welcome Center.
