We used the news to talk about being a good citizen.

We found out that Global citizenship had lots to do with respecting different cultures

and celebrations.

We did a survey to find out which celebrations students at Willowbank

celebrate.

Then we researched them

We always had to Focus – What are we trying to learn??

After we learnt lots about global citizenship we had to decide what to do and then

DO IT.

What are celebrations? We found out.

Wednesday 26th September was Diwali so we made

Rangoli patterns, which are to welcome people and Laxmi –

the Goddess of wealth and fortune.

We had a cultural celebration day to learn about other celebrations and recognise our own.

Even some parents came in

Should we print our calendar at the shops or at school?

Why? We rated our options against the success criteria and

found the best option.

Finally we made our Calendars

We hope that next year people will learn about and respect all

celebrations.
