IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
For Your Safety• Be sure your oven is installed properly by
a qualified installer or service technician.
• Be sure the oven is securely installed in acabinet that is firmly attached to the housestructure. Weight on the oven door couldcause the oven to tip and result in injury.Never allow anyone to climb, sit, stand orhang on the oven door.
• Make sure the cabinets and wall coveringsaround the oven can withstand thetemperatures (up to 200°F) generatedby the oven.
WARNING: The electricalpower to the oven supply linemust be shut off while line
connections are being made. Failureto do so could result in serious injuryor death.
ElectricalRequirementsThis appliance must be supplied with theproper voltage and frequency, and connectedto an individual, properly grounded branchcircuit, protected by a circuit breaker or fusehaving amperage as noted on rating plate.(Rating Plate is located on oven side trim.)
We recommend you have the electrical wiringand hookup of your oven connected by aqualified electrician. After installation, have theelectrician show you where your main ovendisconnect is located.
Check with your local utilities for electricalcodes which apply in your area. Failure to wireyour oven according to governing codes couldresult in a hazardous condition. If there are nolocal codes, your oven must be wired and fusedto meet the requirements of the NationalElectrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-LatestEdition. You can get a copy by writing:
National Fire Protection Association
Batterymarch ParkQuincy, MA 02269
Effective January 1, 1996, the NationalElectrical Code requires that new, but notexisting, construction utilize a four-conductorconnection to an electric oven. When installingan electric oven in new construction, a mobilehome, recreational vehicle or an area wherelocal codes prohibit grounding through theneutral conductor, follow the instructions inthe section on NEW CONSTRUCTION ANDFOUR-CONDUCTOR BRANCH CIRCUITCONNECTION.
You must use a three-wire, single-phase A.C.208Y/120 Volt or 240/120 Volt, 60 hertzelectrical system. If you connect to aluminumwiring, properly installed connectors approvedfor use with aluminum wiring must be used.

Electrical Connections
ATTENTION INSTALLERAll electric wall ovens must be hard wired
(direct wired) into an approved junctionbox. A plug and receptacle is NOT permittedon these products.
DO NOT shorten the flexible conduit.
The conduit strain relief clamp must besecurely attached to the junction boxand the flexible conduit must be securelyattached to the clamp. If the flexibleconduit will not fit within the clamp, do notinstall the oven until a clamp of the propersize is obtained.
NOTE TO ELECTRICIAN: The 3 powerleads supplied with this appliance areUL recognized for connection to heaviergauge household wiring. The insulationof these 3 leads is rated at temperaturesmuch higher than the temperature ratingof household wiring. The current carryingcapacity of the conductor is governedby the wire gauge and the temperaturerating of the insulation around the wire.
WARNING: Improperconnection of aluminum house
wiring to copper leads canresult in an electrical hazard or fire.
Use only connectors designed forjoining copper to aluminum and followthe manufacturer's recommended
procedure closely.
Turn off the circuit breaker or removefuses to the oven branch circuit.
With the oven supported on a table orplatform in front of the cabinet opening, connect the flexible conduit to the
electrical junction box as shown below.Position the conduit in such a manner
that it will lie on top of the oven ina natural loop when the oven isinstalled. You will need to purchasean appropriate strain relief clamp tocomplete the connection of the conduitto the junction box.

Lift oven into cabinet cutout using the ovenopening as a grip. Carefully push againstoven front frame. Do not push againstoutside edges.
As you slide the oven back, pull the stringso that the conduit will lie on top of theoven in a natural loop.
When you are sure the conduit is out of theway, slide the oven 3/4 way back into theopening. Remove the string by pulling onone end of the loop.
Drilling the Pilot Holes andMounting the Oven
NOTE: Before drilling the pilot holes, make sure the oven is pushed as farback into the opening as it will goand centered.
a. Drill six 1/8" pilot holes through themounting holes (top and bottom) of theside trim, for the #8 screws provided.Drill ten holes for the Double Oven.
MountingHole
Locations
The screws mustbe a minimum of1/4" from the frontof the cutout.
WARNING: Mountingscrews must be used. Failure todo so could result in the oven
falling out of the cabinet causingserious injury.
b. Secure the oven to cabinet with screws
provided.
NOTE: If the cabinet is particle board, youmust use #8 x 3/4" particle board screws. These may be purchased at any hardwarestore.
