First You Double Click on the Oracle setup and get a Startup Screen Like that is shown Below:

Then You See a Screen Like this in Which the Setup Asks You toSelect a folder in which to install the Oracle this folder is called orNamed “Orant” You just change the drive Letter.For Example D:\Or E:\ or C:\,etc. So choose a place where much space is present toinstall oracle.At Least 850 Mb Free Space is Required.

Now the Setup is asking you which type of installation to perform you should select Oracle8 Enterprise Edition.Or in other words justSelect the first Option and Click OK to Continue….

Then You see a screen like this in which certain things are presentIn the form of a list. The setup is asking you which products you Want to install you should not select any product just click Ok Here and carry on…..

Here the setup is asking you which type of starter database you want toInstall. By default the top Most option (Typical Configuration) is selected You just click this dialog box ok and continue with the installation….

The setup is asking you do you want to install the legato storage managerIt is necessary for the installation. You should click here the yes Button And continue with the installation of Oracle……

If this message box appears you should click this ok as there is no Button to click except the ok button so Click Ok and Continue withThe installation……

Here the setup is asking you to copy the Documentation in the Cd Rom To the Harddisk or donot copy it You should select the first Option CD-ROM and click Ok to Continue with the installation…..

Now After this you have nothing to do So Just Sit back and see HowThe installation is proceeding You will See nothing but only a blue barAdvancing forward and forward you can see that the next slides just Contain those pictures of the advancing bars and nothing more…..

Here the setup is asking you do you want to view the read me file of Oracle as oracle have been installed successfully on you system You Should click No and proceed with the installation
