PowerPivot demand has increased significantly in recent years. As more and more data gets added to SharePoint or other business systems, business users are recognizing the value that PowerPivot has as an analysis tool. SQL Server 2012 and SharePoint 2013 provide a fantastic infrastructure for PowerPivot, but installing and configuring it specifically tailored to your environment can be tricky, depending on your business users' needs. In this session we will walk through an installation of a SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services Instance in SharePoint PowerPivot mode. We will then cover how to install and configure PowerPivot on SharePoint. This includes the configuration options for authentication, data refresh and Excel Services.

Test by running the PowerPivot Management Dashboard Timer JobWill update the usage data reports in the Central Administration PowerPivot Management Dashboard

Gotcha: Claims to Windows Token Service Account RightsBy default, the account is setup as local system. You will get a health analyzer warning with this setup.
