First, Barcode Information: 673HLY1 as following image, when we scan this barcode with English keyboard, the “Y” is

“Y”, when we change hardware keyboard layout in the mobile phone system, the “Y” will change to “Z”

Instruction to change hardware keyboard layout in iOS system

1. Pairing with Generalscan Bluetooth Barcode Scanner with iOS system.

2. Open “Notes” App in iOS system. When you change software keyboard in English (US), barcode scan information will

like the following image. Barcode information is: 673HLY1

3. Add your local software keyboard like “French” or some other

4. Change the software keyboard layout to “AZERTY” like the following image.

5. Change hardware keyboard layout to German or others you want .

6. Back to “Notes: app, when software keyboard change to “French” Barcode Information will change to: 673HLZ1

Instruction to change hardware keyboard layout in Android system

1. Pairing with Generalscan Bluetooth Barcode Scanner with Android system.

2. Open “Notes” App in Android system. When you change software keyboard in English (US), barcode scan information

will like the following image. Barcode information is: 673HLY1

3. Change the Hardware Physical Keyboard to OFF to enable software keyboard visible when you input character in

“Notes” application.

4. Change the Hardware Physical Keyboard to ON to enable software keyboard invisible when you input character in

“Notes” application.

5. When you set the Hardware Physical Keyboard to ON, you will find in SettingLanguage&Input Broadcom

Bluetooth HID physical keyboard option.

6. Change your physical keyboard layout at you need.

7. If you have more than one keyboard layout, you can select the one you like.

8. Now when you scan barcode, the barcode information will change to “673HLZ1”.You can also change the software

keyboard layout to “French” as following image.
